Cellular Phones


Use of Cellular Phone Service Provided by UND

The UND long distance telephone network and cellular telephone service are to be used only for conducting University business. State and federal regulations [SBHE Policy Section 611.10] also do not permit this type of activity even if the employee reimburses the University.

Rentals

Telecommunications has two cellular phone available for departmental rental on a first-come, first-serve reservation basis.

Renting department is responsible for the cellular phone during the rental period.


Rental Rates:

Cellular Phone Set  
  $5.00 first day
$2.00 each additional day
(Pickup and return during normal business hours. If returning to campus after business hours on Friday, you will not be charged for the weekend as long as the phone is not used.)
Long Distance Renting department is responsible for charges incurred.
Roaming Charges Renting department is responsible for charges incurred.

To reserve a cellular phone, please call 777-3245.

To pickup a reserved cellular phone, please stop by the Telecommunications Office located in the lower level of the Carnegie Building. Please use the North entrance.

Purchase

If a department is interested in purchasing a cellular phone you may do so by contacting Alltel or Verizon.

The department is responsible for the purchase of the phone and any additional equipment.

Monthly billings will be sent out by the Telecommunications Office. If you have any account number changes for billing purposes, please send a memo to Stop 7141 or e-mail lauriemager@mail.und.edu.
